Our founder, Hamish, has been enhancing spaces for over 25 years. Our projects include hospitality, workplace, and retail fitouts.

We are also a bit different. We take the time to listen and understand your project. We build strong relationships with our clients, designers and contractors, and together we work hard (really hard) to turn your vision into an even greater reality. This comes naturally to us.

Everyone has a reputation and we are quietly proud of ours. Our clients partner with us again and again, trusting us to deliver. Designers enjoy our collaborative approach and commitment to achieving their vision. Contractors know us for construction sites that are well organised, enabling them to do their best work, while Project Managers know we will get the job done with integrity and transparency.

The definition of a craftsman, Hamish has worked in both NZ and the UK covering roles from carpenter, quantity surveyor, project and construction manager. Known for exceeding client expectations, you will find Hamish working closely with designers and clients to ensure quality. Hugely interested (and knowledgeable) in the industry, Hamish is always up for a chat.

John is a results driven Project Manager with nine years of experience in delivering a diverse range of projects within the interior construction industry. He consistently exceeds expectations, having a proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects and ensuring timely completion. John is skilled in stakeholder management and possesses an exceptional eye for detail. Outside of work, he enjoys playing a round of golf or two and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Working as a builder, Shiun has excellent knowledge of the construction industry and a passion for teaching, as he has successfully trained seven apprentices. He transitioned into the Site Manager role for Built and loves visualising and planning what the future build will look like. Shiun’s skills with precision and accuracy can be seen from start to finish on all his projects. He has a passion for cooking, providing marvellous cuisine to the team at Built.

A qualified builder with a passion for delivering excellent craftsmanship and high-level finishes. Henry started and completed his apprenticeship with Built, gaining valuable hands-on experience and carpentry skills. Now, having made the transition to site management, he brings his expertise and a keen eye for detail. Job big or small, his focus is on providing solutions that exceed expectations and ensure a high standard of work. Outside work, Henry is an accomplished Baseball Player.

Tom arrived at Built after finishing a Quantity Surveying qualification with a passion for the construction industry. He has excellent attention to detail and enjoys seeing the tangible final result of projects he helped create. Tom has a strong passion for reading and engulfs audiobooks wherever he can, along with fitness, which he prioritises time for each week to stay fit and healthy.

A nurse in her previous career coupled with years of experience in financial and office management, she is exceptional at ensuring the smooth day to day operations of Built. She enjoys seeing initial concepts come to life and the premium finishing that Built delivers.

Kayla brings a fresh and strategic perspective to project coordination at Built. She approaches projects with a strategic mindset and creative flair, ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. With a background in Marketing and Advertising, Kayla leads Built’s marketing efforts, overseeing social media, website updates, and promotional content to maintain a strong brand presence. Outside of work, Kayla is a keen netball player and enjoys staying active at the gym.
